O me of little faith

“And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Matthew 17:20

The inability to cast out a demon made the disciples question their ability. They made a huge discovery. It was not the amount or size of their faith that was important, it was the object of it! In other words, they didn’t need to ‘muster up’ some frenzied, ecstatic, behavior – like an African witch doctor. No, they needed to humbly place their faith in the God of all miracles – Jehovah. How do you excercise that kind of faith? By prayer and fasting = seeking God.

How about me? How is my faith quotient, as it were? Is my faith excercised by prayer? Yes. Fasting? Less.

Today, God… I believe. Please show me that my faith (small though it be), is well placed!
