Cry for Mercy

And Jesus stopped and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, we want our eyes to be opened.” Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him. Matthew 20:32-34

My brothers and I used to wrestle. Whoever was winning would say to the other… “cry mercy” and I will let you up. Jesus responded to their cries for mercy. Why? He is the mercy giver. For this reason He came. While we were yet sinners (and completely under sin, physically, emotionally and spiritually), Christ died for the ungodly.

Have I cried for mercy? Oh yes. And I have received it.

I praise You, O God for hearing me. I feel as if I have received more than the blind men on the road. Thank you.
