Who was Crucified with Christ?

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20

Paul the apostle, so affiliated with what Jesus did on the cross, that he could say “I am crucified with Christ”. What he meant is that his whole life (as he knew it) came to an end. Everything became new, because God was directing his life from the inside out. It came by believing in Jesus through faith. Jesus’ sacrificial death demonstrates God’s great love for each of us.

I love the lyrics to the song Not as good as I say I am… “O, won’t you take this man who remains in me, and nail him up and let him bleed and die”. Sometimes I feel like I nebe crucified with Christ daily. Maybe that’s why Jesus said, if any man will come after me, he must take up his cross and follow me. Praise God, from the inside out, he is now the boss of my life.

Lord Jesus, what a great love you have demonstrated and shown me. May I walk today worthy of it.
