“Then He got into the boat with them, and the wind stopped; and they were utterly astonished, for they had not gained any insight from the incident of the loaves, but their heart was hardened.” Mark 6:51-52
The ministry of Jesus was accompanied by miracles. People were healed by touching His clothes, people were set free of demons and even teh wind and waves obeyed His command. These miracles should have led the disciples to a deeper insight into who Jesus is… the Son of God. But they didn’t immediately gain this insight because their heart was hard.
How about me? Is my heart soft and accepting of God? How open am I to the meaning of the miraculous? I certainly see God doing amazing works all around me.
Lord Jesus, I believed and come to know that You are the Son of God. Keep my heart tender to this realization so I follow You closely and always have insight into what You are doing in my life and the world.
