“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” ”
Paul quotes Habakkuk 2:4 and says that the gospel reveals the righteousness of god- namely that Christ came to save sinners. I’m not sure what the phrase ‘from faith to faith’ means. Perhaps the faith of the patriarchs and the faith we now possess and express more clearly.
How precious is then this gospel working together with my faith!!! Have I responded to the gospel with faith? Yes!
Lord Jesus I thank you that the gospel really is the power of God, now in me!
