“Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God.”
Why would a man burn into the posistion of power, influenece, respect and even education identify himself as a bond-servant? Because, Jesus Christ is an ultimate example who himself demonstrated that love. Jesus said “Humble yourself and let god lift you up.”
Oh my! How I often cling to a title, posistion or the opinion of others- when my example of things modeled laying all that aside to be obedient to him.
Againg today, I begin by laying it all aside to follow you. You have called me and I am committed to the gospel of God.
