“Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.”
An outward sign of faith like circumcision or baptism has value if you ‘practice the law’ – go all the way with a full comittment to God. But if not its as if you never were.
Are there any externalities I am holding onto as evidence of my salvation and faith while neglecting simple obedience?
