For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14b-19
Paul was given understanding about the great mystery of God, namely that Gentile and Jewish believers, by faith, would become the children of promise, receive salvation and become the body of Chirst, the church. So his prayer is that we would be strengthened from the inside because Christ dwells in our hearts. And that we would know Him and this glory completely.
Am I as excited about what God has done to include me as Paul is? Yes! Am I wanting that for everyone around me? Do I share the zeal and passion to make Him known?
Oh God, burn within me and give me opportunities to reach out and love someone in Your name today. Open the doors for the glorious gospel to be shared. Call many to Yourself.
