Will Jews Ever Turn To Jesus?

For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,
“The Deliverer will come from Zion,
He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.
This is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.” Romans 11:25-27

The apostle Paul longed to see more of his fellow Israelites come to faith in Jesus Christ. The Gentiles were instead the ones coming in droves and recognizing Jesus as their Messiah. Will the pendulum ever shift back to those who are the “root” of our faith- namely Israel and Jews? Yes! Paul quotes the prophet Isaiah and reminds them that God’s salvific program will turn and focus predominantly upon Israel, when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled. While there is debate about when that occurs, who can argue with Isaiah’s prophecy and Paul’s interpretation?

When will the Lord open the eyes of those born Jews and remove the scales that blind those who have such a great advantage of heritage and history with You?

God, as we begin this new day. Thank you for moving in my life and meeting my deepest needs. May I go start to finish in Your joy and power as I listen to Your voice and obey.
