Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.” But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent.” Exodus 14:12-14
Some people get fearful when God leads them into circumstances that are difficult or require faith. Its then that they are tempted to return to “Egypt”. God’s answer is ‘do not fear’ and see the salvation of the LORD. The LORD will fight for you.
Is there anything from my old life that is drawing me backward? When I get stressed, do I lean toward God or return to worldly ways? More and more, I turn to God, His Word, prayer and the fellowship of believers.
Today, O God I realize its your battle. I will watch for Your salvation to unfold all around me. In prayer and faith I will not fear. Fight for me!
