What’s my Motivation?

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:2-3

The longtime joke in Hollywood is the picture of the self absorbed actor asking the director “What’s my motivation?”. It’s actually not a bad question. The Bible says that I can be motivated with the interests of others. This is Christ-like!

How about me? Why do I do the things I do? I believe God has given me a heart to care about others and not just myself.

Oh Lord, that You would grow me in this area of my life. Help me not just look out for me and mine, but for You and Yours! Jesus, You are my example in this as well.
