For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. Colossians 1:9-12
Sometimes when I pray for family and friends, I am not sure what to pray. Here is a good list… I can ask God to give: knowledge of His will, wisdom and understanding. Why? So that they may walk in a way that pleases Him, they will bear fruit in good works, they will increase in knowledge, be strong in power, and attain patience and have a sense of joy and thankfulness. Now that’s worth praying!
So, now my focus in prayer is set.
God, as Maureen, Kai, Keanu, Kaenan and Eden begin their day, would you grant them these things, each who has need specifically. In the end, may my family be filled with joy as they interact with you and as you fill them up. For my extended family, oh God for those still who have not found the same personal connection, may they lean in hard and put their trust in You, Jesus.
