The people of God had not made Him a priority in their lives and as a result were suffering loss without knowing it. I heard a pastor once say about giving God a tithe… “God can do more in your life with 90% than you can with 100%”. I can assure you he was right then and its still true today… even as it was in Haggai’s day. God can cause resources to flow in and out of our lives in ways we could never imagine. He simply wants to be the first consideration in our lives as we make decisions, use our money, plan our vacations, etc.
Is it apparent to others that God is first in my life? How would they know?
God, this is my experience. I see You moving in a powerful way. Today, there is one more expression of ‘rainfall’ that I want. Would You move powerfully on my behalf to complete the project we have been talking about for so long… in a way that would be advantageous for Your kingdom? I am looking forward to what You have planned today.
