The pop band from the 80’s called Missing Persons sang “What are words for?” As a Spirit filled Christian, my words should be such that they build up, not tear down. That’s what words are for! What an incredible reflection of this new found life. The change in my heart will ultimately be reflected in my speech.
I have noticed that when I cam closest to God, my speech is joyful and uplifting. When I am struggling or distant from Him, my countenance falls and with it my speech.
God, draw me close and fill my life with the joy of salvation. May my words be pleasing to You and useful to others.
