There are some whistleblowers who recently testified before Congress saying that our government has recovered some UFO material that is unrecognizable and biologics (whatever that means) too. If there are other beings in the universe, that doesn’t upset my faith in Christ, but I have serious doubts there are. More important than the question “Are there aliens from outer space?” is the question “Are you still alienated from God”? I was. But now I am forgiven of my sin and I am holy in God’s sight. Imagine that… He treats me as if I am as righteous as His own dear Son, Jesus the Christ. Of course, I must continue to follow Jesus’ example of love and light and obedience. And He has promised the Holy Spirit to me to provide the guidance, wisdom, and power. How nice to be part of the Kingdom of God. As good as the United States is… I am also a citizen of the kingdom of God. You?
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. Do I remember what it was like to be separated from God and a child of wrath? Would others recognize that I am a citizen of the kingdom of God?
God, as this day begins- I want to pause and say again- I was lost and without a true country. I was separated from You and Your world. I am so grateful to no longer be an alien, but a citizen in the city of God. Now, as I awoke considering some problems to solve and the people I want to minister to today, I need Your help and that of others. Would you provide and guide. What an opportunity to hold out the word of life to people today at the memorial service! Please use lovely Linda and I to minister, comfort, and create a beautiful environment for the family to honor their loved one.
