For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. Proverbs 1:32-33
The result of ignoring God’s wisdom is death and destruction, while God promises safety and a life without fear. Man truly is the only animal in God’s creation that actually runs faster, when he is lost. Such is the case for much of humanity. This whole business of thinking we can go our own way and be better off is a continual theme of mankind.
How about me? Am I trying to go my own way? I don’t think so. Instead, I am committed to trust my ways to God who knows best for me.
Today, O Lord I trust You with my future and my day. Please let me discern wisdom from Your Word and live accordingly. Please meet my needs according to Your riches exemplified in Christ Jesus.
