I was born with an inward desire to know my Maker and worship Him. I believe that ‘instinct’ is within us all. I wasn’t born with the knowledge of the gospel and that the Maker of Heaven and earth is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is the God of Moses and Noah, Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve. Someone had to share the story with me. And thank God, my childhood and teenage friend Todd, did just that… in many ways. He told me the story, lived his life consistent with the story, he invited me to church to worship God, and he told me I was invited to be part of the story too. Philip, took the Ethiopian worshipper from what he knew (the story from creation forward), and completed the story by revealing the identity of Isaiah 53’s suffering servant and Savior- Jesus the Christ. That part of the story makes all the rest make sense and the future as well. Do you know it? My life mission is to help people take their next step of spiritual growth. For many, its simply hearing the good news of Jesus’ life, teaching, death, resurrection and promises in a way they can understand. Have you found your story intersecting within His story?
The eunuch answered Philip and said, “Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? How am I making sure my story is being lived according to the will and way of my Maker and Savior?
God, as this day begins, oh how grateful I am to be part of Your story of redemption, life and love. As I work today, would you amplify my efforts. And help me be bold enough to share the life-changing story of Your great love expressed by Your Son who has come into the world. Remind me that everyone has a story worth telling once its been redeemed in You.
