Among the many nations there was no king like him. He (Solomon) was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women. Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women? Nehemiah 13:27
Great leaders create the environment for spiritual things to happen! Nehemiah had to enact some new EPA regulations – environmental protection agency rules… Nehemiah made some final reforms as he restored the temple and worship in Jerusalem. They had married women from Ashdod, Moab and Ammon which led to the children losing their language and heritage as well as with it idolatry and foreign gods. He also made sure people honored God by keeping the Sabbath as an act of faith.
In the school and church that I serve, have I created the environment for spiritual things to happen? Are there reforms necessary in me or the organization?
God, I thank you for the privilege of serving and in some capacity, leading your people and this ministry. I pray that You again will work in my life and that the church and school will be glorious in Your sight for Your name’s sake.
