Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. 1 Corinthians 4:1
In an attempt to lead the people in the Corinthian church back to a right way of thinking, the apostle Paul had to establish his credibility. He reminded them that God has entrusted him with the mysteries of God. Paul was stewarding this great responsibility by sharing what he had come to know of Jesus Christ with them.
What has God entrusted to me to steward? As a pastor, I too have been given the mysteries of God (just as every believer has through the Bible). Am I as a faithful servant of Christ, sharing that with others?
God, what a privilege it is to be saved and further called to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Use me in a great way, even today. Bring someone into my path that needs to know the mysteries of God. May I explain to them in such a way as they understand and put their trust in You.
