I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father. 2 John 4
One of the great joys of getting older is to see the people that are walking in the truth of God and in obedience to His commands. Their lives are rich and blessed. To know we had a small part in that is truly satisfying. They too can take mutual joy as they see me walking in the truth.
How greatly can I rejoice as I look back on 2011? Who has found their way into the truth (or back into the truth) because I was obedient to God and ministered in accordance with my gifts? I can think of several. Maybe there are more than I know.
Oh God, what a great reminder that this life I live is about so much more than things and stuff, but people and truth and grace and eternity and mercy and You! Cause my joy to overflow.
