I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me;
I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I, a to a nation which did not call on My name.
I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in the way which is not good, following their own thoughts, a people who continually provoke Me to My face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on bricks; Isaiah 65:1-3
God pursues us even when we don’t seek Him. How beautiful it is. Its an expression of His great love for us. Paul wrote,’while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly’. He first loved us before we loved Him. Like a great hound from heaven He pursues us. And thank God He does.
Is this my experience? How did God pursue me? In a myriad of ways… most directly as a Christian friend continually reached out to me with the love and message of Jesus Christ.
God, thank you for Your continual love in my life, even before my heart turned to You. Today has been a great day. I pray tomorrow will be the same. I am pursuing You these days. Thank you that You are so easily found in Your Word, in prayer and by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
