gen 50 20Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “Every son who is born you are to cast into the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.”
Now a man from the house of Levi went and married a daughter of Levi. The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw that he was beautiful, she hid him for three months. But when she could hide him no longer, she got him a wicker basket and covered it over with tar and pitch. Then she put the child into it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile. His sister stood at a distance to find out what would happen to him. Exodus 1:22-2:4

Sometimes, God turns the evil ideas of man into His very works of salvation. That was what happened with Joseph, ‘his brothers meant it unto him for evil, but God for good to save many people alive’. And now, Pharaoh commanded that the baby boys be killed by throwing them into the Nile. God would send Moses (God’s savior for his people) right into Pharaoh’s home, from a basket in the Nile.

Do I anticipate that God will take the evil that befalls me and turn it around for His glory? I do. And I have seen Him do it. Am I responding in faith when it happens?

God, You are always at work turning circumstances to opportunities of salvation. Amazing! As we make our way through this day, I pray You will show me what to thing, to do, and to say in each situation. And would you help me get my daughter’s care to pass the smog test. I love you.
