Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. Genesis 1:20-23 NASB
I love the ocean. Whether its surfing or snorkeling, it just feels good to me to be in nature. I feel close to God there. Some of God’s greatest handiwork is found in the variety of life within the expanse of the sea. Sometimes late at night, my wife finds me watching NatGeo shows like Blue Planet. I could do it for hours. How amazing is the creativity of God?
How am I allowing God to nurture my soul through nature? Have I thanked God for the beauty all around me?
God, as this day begins- I want to say thank you and applaud this wonderful world that reflects such beauty! May I see You in the world You’ve created today and especially in the people You’ve made!
