The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. 2 Peter 2:9-10
Temptations come into our lives. But God is there to rescue us from them, if our soul is in the right (righteous) place. The Bible says that no temptation I face is unique to me, but God is faithful to provide a way of escape. What a wonderful truth.
Am I looking for His escape or indulging in sinful desire? Have I recognized that part of God’s escape plan is a prevention plan? Yes, I am learning and growing in wisdom.
God, thank you that temptations do not have to rule my life and that You are the answer. I am grateful for Your Word, Your Spirit and Your Wisdom… all readily available to me.
