For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake. Philippians 1:29
Suffering is part of the package deal we receive as Christians. The Bible says God granted us both “believing in Him” and also suffering for Him.
Am I grateful for both? Would I consider it a privilege to suffer for His sake? Or would I think some strange thing was happening to me that other Christian around the world do not already experience?
Lord, when suffering come and persecution for Your Name’s sake, please empower me to be faithful.
