In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior. 1 Peter 3:1
What ever happened to the ideals of submission to God and willingness to suffer? They are virtually absent from every part our society. The Bible says that in the same way all of us must submit and suffer, so too wives in doing so, have the opportunity to win their unbelieving husbands to the Lord.
What is my attitude towrd authority and suffering? Am I submissive, obedient, respectful and chaste? This is a struggle at times.
God, who would be watching my conduct and as a result discover enough about You to give their life to You? I pray that my behavior and attitude would be contagious and cause non-believers to believe. Help me Jesus!
