And Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand. 1 Samuel 23:15
The Bible says that God protected David on a daily basis. Even though his enemy (King Saul) tried daily to destroy him, David experienced protection from above. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 31
In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed;
In Your righteousness deliver me. Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly;
Be to me a rock of strength, A stronghold to save me.
For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.
You will pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my strength. Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have ransomed me, O LORD, God of truth.
So it is with me. I know I have people who probably are angry, jealous, hateful toward me… but God gives me favor and when needed, protection. He really is a ‘strong tower’.
Today O, Lord I will walk with confidence and humility at the same time, realizing its You and for Your name sake I live, and move and breath and have my being. I want to glorify You in all I say and do.
