But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength;
Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my stronghold
And a refuge in the day of my distress.
O my strength, I will sing praises to You; for God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.
Psalm 59:16-17
When David needed God, He was there for him. Two characteristics stand out… God is strong and filled with lovingkindness. He is a refuge when we are in distress. I love that praises erupt from David as he considers how God has been his protector.
Are praises continually on my lips as I reflect on God’s goodness to me?
Lord Jesus, You really are my strength, both inwardly and outwardly. You always treat me with lovingkindness. May I reach out to others and love them in Your name. I hope I can be a source of strength with You God!
