“I, moreover, stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights like the first time, and the LORD listened to me that time also; the LORD was not willing to destroy you. Then the LORD said to me, ‘Arise, proceed on your journey ahead of the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.’ Deuteronomy 10:12
God does some special in 40 days. Moses went up on the mountain for two 40 Day periods and received the greatest revelation of his life. Jesus was 40 days in the wilderness and then began His public ministry. God prepares us for the fulfillment of His promise in the 40 days of preparation.
I am in the middle of a 40 day fast. Admittedly, its a fast from Dr. Pepper, Fox News, and Coffee. Small items, to give up. But God is moving mightily and I can see Him preparing me for the next season of ministry.
God, do your work in me. I praise You that these days are filled with wonder as I see Your mighty hand moving obstacles in life. Today, may I walk again in Your ways and experience Victory!
