Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Philippians 2:1-2
In light of all that we receive in Christ, Paul says “if” there is anything here… then it would make his joy complete if we were united in mind, love, spirit and intent on one purpose. This is what makes the church powerful. I like that in Spanish, the same word for “if” is also translated “since”. I think that fits best here.
How much value have I placed on the encouragement, consoling of love, fellowship of the Spirit, affection and compassion I have received from Jesus Christ? The more I do, the more I desire unity with others who are likeminded.
God, I have received amazing joy and the most incredible life from You. Help me live in such a way that shines with appreciation and help me find unity with others. I pray this for the entire Crossroads fellowship. Also Lord, I hope my mom feels special on her birthday today.
