Seasons Change

Have you noticed that there are different seasons in life. You could almost describe or define certain periods- “it was a season of joy, luxury, suffering, love, etc.” And then that season ends and a new one begins. But, exactly how long any one season will last is a mystery. Sometimes the length of a season is simply defined the same way you define the length of a piece of string- its from one end to the other… and every piece is different. Moses season in the wilderness was about to change. It had been forty years. But, the king of Egypt (Pharaoh) died, there was no remembrance of Joseph, and God was about to move. He took notice of them! Listen, God takes notice of you and I too. Don’t worry about that. The eyes of the Lord move to and fro to strongly support those whose heart is completely His. Your seasons will change.

Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them. Exodus 2:23-25 NASB

Am I aware of the season(s) I am in? Am I gracefully accepting that which is by God’s design and praying for His wisdom and timing about that which is not?

God, as this day begins- Oh how fleeting life is. How quickly a day, a week, or even forty years can go. But, with my heart and mind focused on the eternal life You promise, I commit to set my day with that season in mind. Thank you that seasons change. Would you please work within the lives of my wonderful nieces and nephews today. I am praying each one knows Your great love, hears Your voice, and brings pleasure to You through their God-given personality. Help them understand their identity in Christ and in their family. May the “cousins” keep communicating and enjoy each other. Bless Kaenan on his birthday too. What a great season it is!
