After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10
In the heavenly vision of things to come, John sees not only the supernatural saving of the tribes of Israel, but also people from every tribe, people and tongue. I heard a preacher say “those that God saves, He saves to the uttermost”. I think that’s true. But look at this truth… “God saves to the uttermost”… He goes throughout the world saving people from everywhere. Here is the great commissioning of the church in these last days. We are to share the gospel with every tribe (Seth Godin), people (ethnic group) and tongue (language). How exciting!
Am I involved in the greatest endeavor in human history? Yes 100%! And what a privilege it is.
God, in these last days (whether or not the tribulation period has begun), I want to be one clothed in white who has been washed in the blood of the lamb, standing before you having completed my portion of the mission. As we pray for pastor Chuck, we are praying for ourselves, to be that change agent in the world.
