When they had been brought safely through, then we found out that the island was called Malta. The natives showed us extraordinary kindness; for because of the rain that had set in and because of the cold, they kindled a fire and received us all. Acts 28:1
After an amazing ordeal at sea that ended with the ship being lost, all the men were saved, just as the angel had told Paul. Its fascinating on a number of levels. God disclosed to Paul what would happen. Paul faithfully followed the plan. And even more heard the gospel, not only the crew of the ship, but the natives of Malta. Interesting factoid, three of the four anchors that were left in the sea have been found and accounted for in recent history.
Am I attentive and aware of what God is doing around me? Is the gospel reaching even unexpected people because I am being moved by God’s Spirit? Yes, it seems like every day is an adventure.
Lord, I wonder what You have planned today. I am starting my day with the simple prayer “Good morning God, this is Your day, I am Your child, show me Your way”. Amen.
