For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
In his letter to the church in Ephesus, Paul praised their participation in the gospel and encouraged them that God wasn’t done with them. As a matter of fact, Paul was confident that God would bring each believer to a fullness or completeness in Christlike character. The Holy Spirit is always working in us to make us perfect. The work will continue right up until we finish this life or Jesus returns. (There is the hint in scripture that at that moment, we will be fast forwarded to completion).
How about me? How compliant am I with the working of God, the Holy Spirit in my life? Am I allowing Him full reign to change me?
God, I am all yours. Melt me, mold me, use me in ways You see fit. I look forward to seeing You face to face. Prepare me for that time.
