I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God;
Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.
Wondrously show Your lovingkindness,
O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand from those who rise up against them.
Keep me as the apple of the eye;
Hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 17:6-8
When I find myself in God’s will and carrying out His desires, I am at His ‘right hand’. I will encounter battles and face enemies. Like David, I can call to God and expect an answer that comes from a place of lovingkindness. How wonderful to think I am the focus of heaven, the apple of His eye, and can be hidden in a moment within the shadow of His wing.
Am I indeed following God’s will? What battles and challenges am I facing?
This is my prayer today Lord Jesus, please continue to incline Your ear to me, hear my speech. Thank you for being a Savior filled with lovingkindness. It nice to know I can hide in the shadow of Your wings, then face the battle again. May heaven be victorious today!
