Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.” Matthew 22:1-3
God has prepared a wedding feast in honor of His Son Jesus Christ. While we are compelled to come, being slaves to God, many are unwilling. The right response would be to obediently come and enjoy the greatest party ever. Oh how stubborn we are!
How about me? Am I looking forward to the wedding feast? Am I living in obedience to God as I anticipate His celebration? Am I honoring Jesus Christ in my life?
God, what a wonderful invitation! Yes, rsvp for me…and prayerfully all those I know and love.
