reputationWhen you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the Lord your God will surely require it of you. However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you. You shall be careful to perform what goes out from your lips, just as you have voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God, what you have promised. Deuteronomy 23:21-23

Making promises to God is a wonderful thing… unless we don’t fulfill it. He is a promise keeper and would like us to be the same. I love how its written, ‘be careful to perform what goes out from your lips’. Not always easy, but over time our very reputation is defined by it.

God, are there any outstanding vows or promises I have made to You? If so, please remind me and forgive me for the delay.

Heavenly Father, thank you that You always keep Your word and promises. Help me do the same with You and others. I want my reputation to be good, and Yours to be perfect!
