For seven days they celebrated with joy the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because the Lord had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria so that he assisted them in the work on the house of God, the God of Israel. Ezra 6:22
One of the great joys for God’s people was celebrating Passover which reminded them of His mighty deliverance from Egypt. The first celebration with the new temple accompanied seven days of celebration. They had once again seen God’s mighty hand restore them to Jerusalem and the temple. Amazing how God worked on the hearts of three kings to do it: Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes.
Am I trusting God to give me favor with kings? Am I celebrating the great victories of God? Yes. What a continual celebration this season in life has been, especially as I watch what is happening in the church. Simple incredible.
God, as we begin this day together, may You be You, and I will trust and celebrate the victories along the way.
