kindnessThe rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21

In John’s vision of the consummation of the world, great plagues and God’s wrath is poured out upon mankind. Even so, there is a staunch unwillingness and reluctance to repent. Certainly is is true that ‘its His kindness that leads us to repentance’ – Romans 2:4. At this future time, it appears too late for those who waited so long to follow Jesus Christ.

How willing am I to repent from my sins and turn daily to the Savior of my soul? Is my heart soft or hard?

God, many those I know turn to You now and soon. I hope no one will endure the time when Your wrath is poured out. Help me be a person available to those who want to know You and find You.
