Even so Abraham BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. Galatians 3:6-9
Abraham’s faith stands as a model of “saving faith”. He believed God to the point of taking action. In doing so, he preached the gospel ahead of time.
Does my life speak of the gospel? Do I live in such a way that my belief in God is evident. Can my faith be “seen”? I hope so. I really do believe God enough to trust Him with all my life.
God, what a joy that I am saved by Your goodness and not my own doing, but rather my believing. Saved by grace, through faith! Wow, what a concept. What a truth.
