And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:18-19
A Christian is in constant communication with his commander. As a soldier, he is ready and prepared to serve. That’s why Paul says pray in the Spirit in every situation, so you will know what God wants you to do and say.
How is my “readiness”? Am I prepared to speak for Him and reach out with His love on all occasions? Mostly.
Today God, as I begin this day, please prepare me for what I will say, how I will pray with others, and where I will be at any moment. As a ready soldier, I want my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace,… as well as all the other armor of God in place.
