For to which of the angels did He ever say, “YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU”?
And again, “I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIM AND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME”? Hebrews 1:5
None! Because Jesus is the unique Son of God, begotten of God the Father. My friend says “Jesus is not better than others, is uniquely different from any others”, angels included. What an amazing revelation of Himself to us, that God would be a Son and Father.
I love my children and I am very proud of each of them. Being both a father and a son, I find it possible to relate to God in a personal way. Have I fully entered into the relationship God has for me with Him, exploring all it means to be His adopted son alongside Jesus, while at the same time worshipping Jesus?
Lord, thank you that I can come to You in ways that make sense to me. I know You are beyond my mind and comprehension, and I appreciate that You have so wonderfully condescended to me. Jesus, my Master and model in all things, teach me to be an adopted son of God that makes the Father proud.
