Praying for my Pastor

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak. Colossians 4:2-4

I remember hearing a woman shout out loud in a church service “Help him Jesus!”. The pastor was getting a bit boring and side-tracked in his preaching. In essence, she was praying out loud. When I pray, I am to have at attitude of personal devotion, alertness, and a sense of thankfulness. I am to include others in my prayers and have a desire that the gospel could be presented in a clear manner to all who hear.

Who am I praying for in this manner? Certainly, every Sunday I pray for our preaching pastor. Last night I prayed for our Generate pastor (along with all those in Singles Ministry). Who is praying for me, as I teach tonight?

God, I want to pray for myself for a moment. As I share from the Bible tonight with our Men, would you help me speak forth the mystery of Christ and make it clear in the way I ought to speak? Help me Jesus!
