People can choose lots of so-called gods. For many, they actually lift up themselves as the Lord of their lives. David sang “The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup”. He decided to throw his lot in with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What a great choice. Because this is the true and living God who can show us real life and fullness of joy and pleasures forever.
Who is my God? Its the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Its God the Father of whom Jesus is His Son.
God, You are the treasure and source of pleasure. Knowing I will spend eternity with You is more than deserved and incredible. I cannot imagine all You have in store. I hope I will be a constant source of joy to You.
