Man, do I have plans! On my bucket list of places to visit are the Maldives, Bali, Mentawai Islands,… I envision amazing surfing days and snorkeling with my friends and our wives. I have business endeavors- developing two different software applications. I have plans to develop my law practice in the areas of contract negotiations, wills and trusts, and intellectual property. I have plans for ministry. I have plans for my grandkids. Plans, plans, plans. Some call them dreams. That’s ok. What I realize is that because I belong to God, He has the final say. He establishes, thwarts, or puts them on hold. I am good with that and content.
The plans of the heart belong to a person,But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.All the ways of a person are clean in his own sight,But the Lord examines the motives.Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:1-3
Are my ways committed to the Lord? How aware am I of what God must do to prepare me in both character and motive?
God, as this day begins- I see so many of the plans I have coming to fruition. So many more ahead. Your provision is following the vision. Please continue to make me more and more like Jesus so that my motives are pure and my character, a reflection of Yours.
