You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family. You shall have the fiftieth year as a jubilee; you shall not sow, nor reap its aftergrowth, nor gather in from its untrimmed vines. For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat its crops out of the field. Leviticus 25:10-12
The year of Jubilee was very special and God ordained. It made His people rely upon Him and celebrate their unique relationship to God at the same time.
How do I show my faith and trust in God while at the same time rejoicing in the freedom He has given me? Each day I live in this wonderful reality.
God, thank you that You can see the need to give rest to everything in the seventh year. May I live in Your complete rest… Jubilee! 7 x 7… perfect rest!
