But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7
There is the hint of more to come. As great as this life is following Jesus Christ, in the ages to come, He will show even greater aspects of His grace in kindness to us. Wow! Is that even possible. Its enough that I am saved. All of this motivated by “His great love with which He loved us”.
Am I living a life that reflects my understanding of what God has done for me and the great love with which I am loved? Jesus pointed out that the one forgiven much, loves much. I hope my life is pouring out at least a portion of the love I have received.
What an opportunity today Lord, to receive Your love and grace and mercy and spill out love on others.
