Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Hebrews warns us about the result of unbelief and disobedience, namely, not entering into the rest and Sabbath that God promises. But then I am invited into the very throne of God. Amazing. Here, in God’s presence I find ultimate rest, as I realize all the problems, striving, etc. is well within his control. My wilderness wandering ends with a promised land.
I am taking advantage of the rest of God? Not as much as I could.
So Lord this morning, I enter into your presence on the merit of Jesus Christ and by faith I believe your invitatino applies to me. Help me find grace in your eyes and meet my deepest needs as I wait with you. Amen.
