Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm.
Nothing is too hard for you.
You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the parents’ sins into the laps of their children after them.
Great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds.
Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve. Jeremiah 32:17-19
God was delivering the people of Israel and Judah into captivity of the Babylonian invaders. Yet, God instructs Jeremiah to buy a field and take the deed and seal it up in a clay pot. This was to demonstrate that one day he would return and own the land. In an act of faith, Jeremiah prayed and bought the land! Amazing. Our God who made everything, really is “able” to accomplish what He desires.
Do I trust Him enough to take the faithful steps He asks of me?
God, what a wonderfully difficult yet mixed bag of blessings yesterday was. I sensed You with me. I hate giving people bad news. Uggh. God, today let’s walk together again, reveal Your Sovereign will. Whisper in my ear what to do and say. Help me finish well with the wonderful team of teachers at the school as we usher them into their Summer break. Bless each one of them.
