“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:35
Jesus chose his disciples, called them apostles and taught them this important truth. They were going to be different. Because Jesus strategy is based on unconditional love and God’s grace. By this strategy men and women would come to God and be transformed.
This is what intrigued me about Jesus. This is what He has called me to. Is this the pattern of my life and the thinking in my heart? Yes, for the most part. No more quid pro quo – “I give you this, expecting to get that”. That’s worldly, I am now heavenly minded.
